Alquerque Game Board

Alquerque is an ancient game from Egypt. It is similar to checkers or draughts.

• Goal: Remove your opponent’s Lore Bits game tokens from the board.
• Two Player Game. Each player has 12 game tokens.

Instructions:

• Print the game board using a standard printer. If you would like the board to be sturdy, use card stock in your printer.
• Place player one’s Lore Bit’s game tokens on the black circles. Place player two’s game tokens on the white circles.
• Similar to checkers or draughts, move each game token one spot at a time.
• To eliminate the opponent’s tokens, your game token must jump over it in a straight line to an empty valid landing location.Valid landing spots are where the lines intersect or there is a circle. Valid moving directions are indicated by the lines.
• Multiple jumps are allowed during each turn. The game tokens also may change direction after each jump.
• Winning: Removing your opponents game tokens from the board or immobilizing your opponent’s game tokens. If both players are blocked, it is a tie.
